I am still working on my documentary on Section 8. Today I went back to one of the tenants, Portia, to get an update on her life. I also stopped by at City Hall... again.. To see if I could get an interview with the mayor of Lancaster, R. Rex Parris. Crossing my finger I get a call back. I would love to get his view on section 8 for my doc. 

As a filmmaker I am always encountered with surprises and challenges. At times those are life changing and gratifying. Today while working on my newest documentary I had the opportunity to meet a single mother and her three children. Having the chance to learn about her challenges as a single parent and how far she come as to have a big home and be able to provide to each and one of those kids. 
As a young and fresh filmmaker I know that one day I will look back at these moments at a time of frustration and they will remind me why I once fell in love with this medium.
